School and group tickets for the 2016 Surrey International Children’s Festival are now on sale. The 2016 Festival theme is “Come Share Your Stories!” which encourages children and families to share their stories about the first time they were inspired by an artistic experience.
In 2016, the Surrey International Children’s Festival is featuring world-class professional shows from:
• Canada (BC): Charlotte Diamond, Music, Preschool – GR 3
• Canada (QC): Circus INcognitus, Circus, All Ages
• Netherlands: Love That Dog (Theatregroep Kwatta), Theatre/Puppetry, Grades 2-7
• Chad: H’Sao, Music, All Ages
• Canada (Nunavut): Michael Kusugak, Literary/Storytelling, Grades K-3 & 4-7
• USA (Oregon): The Middle of Everywhere (Wonderheards), Theatre/Puppetry, Grades 4-7
• Canada (ON): The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Theatre/Magic, Grades K-5
Group (minimum 10 tickets) and school tickets can be purchased now through the Surrey Arts Centre Box Office by calling 604-501-5566. General audience tickets will go on sale April 12, 2016.
The Surrey International Children’s Festival is an annual children's art celebration presented by the City of Surrey. The Festival’s vision is to inspire young hearts and minds to greater possibilities, and celebrate our rich and diverse cultural heritage through performing and visual arts experiences. The Festival programming provides unique educational art opportunities for children. The 12th annual Surrey International Children’s Festival will run from May 26 to 28, 2016 at the Surrey Arts Centre and Bear Creek Park.
