Now in its 12th year, Diwali Fest is an annual South Asian arts and culture festival celebrating the universal light that exists in everyone. Drawing over 15,000 people, Diwali Fest aims to unite different cultures through celebratory events during the festival of Diwali and to allow South Asian art forms to evolve through other cultural influences, while at the same time influencing others. Continuing with the artistic theme of "Unity in Diversity", Diwali Fest invites you to participate in one of its main events.
Open to the public, this fun and educational workshop is a free, family-friendly event that includes an interactive portion for children of all ages. Learn about the history of Diwali, the history of rangoli, and how to make your very own rangoli. In addition, there will be diya painting and a mehndi station.
The 37th annual Vancouver international Wine Festival, presented by The Vancouver Sun is eagerly awaited. Forty-three events are available for wine lovers, including dinners with international vine stars at top Vancouver restaurants, wine seminars, minglers, lunches, the ever-popular Vintners Brunch, and four International Festival Tastings, where the wine world will gather.

On Friday, October 24, the Dhahan Prize will host a public reading at SFU Surrey from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., followed by a reception. Prize winners will read from their winning books in Punjabi, with translation to English.
