Sister Says: Music and Storytelling

Museum of Vancouver13 Jul '18 @ 7:15 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Sister Says: Music and Storytelling

The Melodic, infectious indie pop band Sister Says and Latash-Maurice Nahanee bring their entertaining live show to MOV for a memorable evening of music and storytelling.

Fronted by mixed Haida-Tsimshian siblings Gillian and Robert Thomson, Sister Says has a dreamy, lyrically rich approach to songwriting, referencing the soul, blues and pop music the two musicians were exposed to growing up. Their 5 piece band will have you moving in your seats. A Q & A will follow the performance giving you an opportunity to ask them about their songs, touring life and beyond.

Audiences will additionally be treated to traditional storytelling by Squamish Nation member Latash-Maurice Nahanee. Latash is an indigenous artist, storyteller and musician who has traveled extensively in Asia and Europe as a cultural ambassador representing the Squamish Nation.
