Robbie Burns Celebration Seminar and Dinner

Yew Seafood + Bar24 Jan '18 @ 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
  • Robbie Burns Celebration Seminar and Dinner
Award-winning bartender/sommelier Lauren Mote and celebrated chef Jonathan Chovancek will bring back their ever-popular Bittered Sling Bistro for an exclusive, two-night-only Robbie Burns inspired Pop-up Dinner in celebration of Scotlands favourite son.

This event was awarded Best Culinary Event during the 2015 Dine Out Vancouver Festival, and the 2018 edition is set to be even bigger and better as guests celebrate all things poetic with a multi-course dinner prepared by Chef Jonathan Chovancek and YEW seafood + bar Executive Chef Weimer Gomez, a Masterclass on single malts and blended whisky led by Diageo Reserve Global Cocktailian Lauren Mote.

In addition to this years program, Dine Out welcomes World Class Netherlands Champion 2015, Tess Posthumus (award-winning bartender at Amsterdams Door 74, and author of Cocktails met Tess) for a very special compliment to the evening. Bartenders' Mote & Posthumus will face-off cocktail pairings against Chefs' Chovancek & Gomez dishes, for the ultimate Scottish celebration of spirits, cocktails and food.
