Canada’s largest food and drink festival will soon celebrate its 14th anniversary, so mark your calendars and get ready to sip and savour your way through Vancouver’s culinary wonderland. Here’s what you need to know:
Festival dates: January 15 to 31, 2016

Events: Festival-goers can choose from 17 days of flash-in the-pan events that appeal to all types of taste bud. New additions include the World Chef Exchange (renowned chefs from destinations like Sydney and New York take over local restaurants for a notable night of global culinary influences); awinter beer hall at Big Rock Urban Brewery & Eatery (featuring beer crafted exclusively for Dine Out– stay tuned!); and Baked and Buzzed, a bakeries-and-cafés tasting journey led by local food operator Off the Eaten Track. Returning by popular demand are old favourites like Street Food City (a lunchtime gathering of the city’s top food carts); Secret Supper Soiree (a progressive dinner party whose theme this year is "The Roaring '20s"); and a series of Cocktail Masterclasses led by world-renowned local bartender Lauren Mote (now expanded to four themed classes exploring whiskies, bitters, agave spirits and beyond).
