Christmas Glow Returns with All-New Theme and Double the Space!

Milner Village Garden Centre22 Nov '18 to 19 Jan '19 @ 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Christmas Glow Returns with All-New Theme and Double the Space!
Christmas Glow, Greater Vancouver’s largest indoor Christmas festival, opened its doors today to welcome visitors -- bigger and brighter for year two. Set inside the greenhouses of Milner Village Garden in Langley, Glow guests are free from rain, sleet and snow, can leisurely stroll under the twinkle of a million lights and enjoy nearly 95,000 square feet of lighted sculptures, interactive activities, live entertainment and a Christmas market. Guests who attended the launch of Christmas Glow last year will be delighted to find a brand-new experience this year: “Glow Around the World”. Lighted trails will lead visitors to six countries -- France, Britain, India, China, Mexico, and Holland -- complete with lighted iconic landmarks and bustling streetscapes. Guests are encouraged to get their Glow “passports” stamped at each stop to earn a surprise

“Christmas Glow was such a huge hit in 2017, we wanted to go above and beyond the expectations of our new and returning guests,” said Lawrence Jansen, CEO, Darvonda Nurseries. “We traveled to international trade shows to find the latest technology to continue to increase our wow factor. We found that recreating these mammoth landmarks was trending, so we handpicked some of the very best. In addition, our Glow team member, Breanne Kanis, designed some of the huge pieces, so you won’t see them anywhere else.”

In addition to the Glow Around the World light gardens, there are traditional Christmas light exhibits, like twinkling reindeer and giant candy canes -- perfect for selfies and holiday family photos. Designed for kids of all ages, giant LED swings and hopscotch that change red and green are sure to be favourites. Also new this year is Glen the Glow-comotive, a trackless train offering visitors a choo-choo around the event. And a Christmas festival wouldn’t be complete without daily visits from Santa, live entertainment, seasonal food and goodies, a licensed bar for ‘the big kids’, a garden centre for all your poinsettia needs, and a Christmas Market featuring 40 local artisans and boutique businesses. Christmas Glow is a robust seasonal experience for all ages.
