  • Bloom, The Abbotsford Tulip Festival Opens April 13th

The organizers of Bloom, The Abbotsford Tulip Festival are pleased to announce that for the first time in the festival's history, they will be opening two days early on Saturday, April 13th at 11 am. The perfect mix of sun and showers is kick starting the low bloom tulip season earlier than expected with many rows of colourful tulips already starting to blossom at the festival's 10 acre site. Over the next few weeks, millions of tulip bulbs will transform into acres of rainbow-coloured fields as part of the popular springtime tradition. The annual festival is once again expected to attract thousands of locals and international tulip lovers for a joyous celebration of natural splendour in a picture-perfect country setting.

New this year is the VIP Flower Crown package which allows visitors to upgrade their festival experience to a whole new level. The package includes one High Bloom ticket for May 4th/5th weekend, ‘Skip the Line’ privilege, exclusive on-site opportunity to make your own flower crown, U-pick bucket, exclusive bloom tote bag available only to VIPs, plus rain insurance with complimentary booties and a poncho.

Located just off Highway 1 at No. 3 Road/Exit 104, and about an hour drive from Vancouver, Bloom was founded by Alexis Warmerdam, a passionate third-generation Canadian tulip farmer and fourth generation bulb grower with Lakeland Flowers, and a strong advocate for young B.C. farmers.
