Oakridge Centre ‘Meet the Masters’ art exhibition opens

Oakridge Centre’s West Gallery21 Sep '18 to 14 Oct '18 @ 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Oakridge Centre ‘Meet the Masters’ art exhibition opens
Oakridge Centre in partnership with Chali-Rosso Art Gallery hosts, for the first time, a “Meet the Masters” art exhibition – showcasing original Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí works of art.

This free exhibition that draws a parallel between these two Modern Masters will run from Friday, September 21, 2018 until Sunday, October 14, 2018. The exhibition will be located in Oakridge Centre’s West Gallery.

A presentation by Chali-Rosso Gallery Director Oree Gianacopoulos will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Oakridge Centre’s West Gallery from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Guests will be afforded a glimpse into the world of Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso, and learn about the history of these European Master Artists.

This will include numerous pieces of art that highlight various stages of these two artists’ professional careers. Picasso and Dalí worked and created artworks during the same time period, and they also had a relationship of mutual inspiration and rivalry. These prolific artists are known for breaking away from tradition by bringing abstraction into the realm of art for the first time.

One of the many highlights of the art display at Oakridge will be Salvador Dalí’s 98” high, Surrealist Piano sculpture, valued at $1.2 million.  It has been exhibited in cities such as London, Paris, Venice, Shanghai, New York, Singapore, and Los Angeles.

All public donations, as well as a percentage of Chali-Rosso Gallery sales will go to Arts Umbrella, a non-profit arts education centre for young people. To donate and learn more about this exhibition go to www.chalirosso.com.
