OUR STORY
At four months of age, our daughter Maya underwent open-heart surgery. Following the operation, her heart stopped beating for 22 minutes. But thanks to the quick actions of the doctors and nurses on staff that day at the B.C. Children’s Hospital, they were able to save our little girl.
Maya, who turns four in June, still needs another open-heart surgery in the coming years and is closely followed by the doctors at the hospital several times a year.
OUR GOAL
As a way of saying thank you, our family has pledged to raise $100,000 to help the hospital purchase more equipment to help other families just like we were helped that day.
So far, we have raised just over $12,500 toward our goal. This event is the next step in
getting us closer to our goal.
