Khalsa Credit Union will celebrate the efforts of 30 young members of the local community, who have made significant progress towards achieving their educational dreams, at a Gala Event held at the Aria Convention Centre in Surrey, BC on August 7th 2018, 6 pm onwards.
“Our scholarship programme is a great example of KCU’s investment in our community and of how relevant our credit union’s values are today,” said Mike Schilling, interim CEO. “As always, we could not support programmes like this without our members who chose to bank with us and believe that we are strongest together.”
Award winners are recognized for achievements in high school, further education, sporting endeavours, faith based learning and selfless service to the communities they live in, a key part of the Sikh faith known as seva.
As such the guest speaker at the 2018 Scholarship Awards has already inspired many. KCU will be honoured to welcome Ravi Singh, world-renowned founder and CEO of international non-profit aid and relief organization Khalsa Aid.
