Kids will get to test their building skills, pay homage to Canada’s national animal and help others in need this Canada Day.
On Friday, July 1, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Toronto is inviting kids to celebrate Canada Day by building one of the country’s national symbols—the beaver.
“As a national symbol and iconic part of Canadian history, we thought the beaver would be a perfect subject to build and keep as a memento on Canada Day,” says Lara Hannaford, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre's Marketing Manager.
Children will be able to build a beaver in the Master Builder Academy and, for only $5, can take it home with them, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to Merlin’s Magic Wand. A company charity that operates globally, Merlin’s Magic Wand provides memorable days out for seriously ill, disabled or disadvantaged children at Merlin’s attractions around the world, working with local organizations to fund specialist play areas for children too sick to visit the attractions.
“We wanted to provide children and families with a fun, interactive way to celebrate Canada Day while supporting an important cause,” Hannaford says. “It’s a great way for kids to show their Canadian pride while helping put the magic back into the lives of children in need.”
The promotion will run on July 1st from 10am until 7pm, last admission 5pm. Guests can take advantage of savings by booking online. For more information, please visit www.legolanddiscoverycentre.ca.
