The Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) is delighted to present the 5th Annual Baubles for Banting – East Meets West Gala with emcee Karen So, program host with OMNI Vancouver on Thursday, May 12, 2016. Guests will be gathering at the award-winning Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden for a taste of Asia, with live entertainment featuring Wanting Qu and cuisine inspired by the rich cultural heritage of the Chinese community. Proceeds from this event will raise vital funds to support leading-edge diabetes research, programs and education in British Columbia.
“Diabetes is a complex disease with many causes and no known cure. If you don’t have it, there is a good chance someone in your family or circle of friends is affected,” says Julie Knisley, regional director (British Columbia and Yukon), CDA. “We are excited to be holding our gala and are grateful to all of our supporters for their generosity and commitment to the cause. Vancouverites are invited to join us for a fabulous evening and help make a difference for someone they know living with diabetes.”
The beautiful garden will create an atmosphere of elegance as guests enjoy fine food, wine, a scotch tasting, blackjack tables, a diamond necklace raffle, auctions and more. Plus Marco Iannuzzi, BC Lions Grey Cup winning team member, will be the auctioneer for the live auction.
Tickets are $125 per person, $225 for a pair and $1,000 for a ten pack. To purchase your tickets, call 604-732-2315 or purchase online at www.baublesforbanting.ca.
