Former One Direction singer Zayn Malik's mother Trisha Malik got embroiled in a social media spat after liking negative comments about her son's former fiancee Perrie Edwards.
Trisha uploaded a photograph on Instagram on Friday of a bouquet of flowers that had been sent to her by Malik and his new girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
"From my ‘sonshine' and Gigi. Love them," she captioned the image.
However, a furious backlash erupted when Trisha liked some of the comments, which mentioned Edwards, reports dailymail.co.uk.]
Later on, Edwards's fans started accusing Trisha by calling her "b***h".
Trisha then mentioned that she doesn't have anything against Edwards.
"I honestly don't have anything against Perrie, I never have and I never will," Trisha wrote.
Malik and Edwards met each other on "The X Factor", but broke off their engagement in 2015 after a four-year relationship.
