Actress Dakota Johnson snapped at her mother Melanie Griffith for refusing to watch her erotica drama “Fifty Shades of Grey”.
Griffith admitted that she didn't want to see the film in an interview on the red carpet at the 87th Academy Awards held here Sunday night, reports mirror.co.uk.
"She's a really good actress. I don't need to see it to know how good she is," Griffith said.
To which Johnson said: “Alright! You don't have to see it. Jesus Christ."
The 25-year-old essays the role of Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of the E.L. James novel "Fifty Shades of Grey". She has also shot multiple sex scenes with co-star Jamie Dornan for the film.
The interviewer then asked Griffith if she found it awkward because of the sex in the film, to which Johnson responded: "It's a movie. She knows that."
Griffith then tried to smooth things over with her daughter by saying she'd watch the film if she asked her to.
