Wasn't Comfortable Doing Negative Role: Divya Dutta

Darpan News Desk, 14 Feb, 2017 12:04 PM
  • Wasn't Comfortable Doing Negative Role: Divya Dutta
Actress Divya Dutta, who essays a politician in the upcoming thriller "Irada", says she wasn't at ease with a negative role.

"I was not at all comfortable doing a negative role. But I had a lot of fun playing the character," Divya said at a media conference here on Tuesday.

"The real fun about playing such roles is that they are very layered. So, I got to play a lot on the text and subtext of the character. I hope I have justified myself as an actor in this role," she added.

Divya also enjoyed working with actor Arshad Warsi.

"He is one of the most nuanced actors we have today and I had a blast shooting with him," she said.

The film, releasing on Friday, is directed by Aparnaa Singh, who has co-written it with Anushka Rajan.
