Tom Holland's Spider-Man Movie To Be Titled 'Spider-man: Homecoming'

Darpan News Desk IANS, 13 Apr, 2016 11:06 AM
The upcoming Spider-Man standalone film, starring Tom Holland in the role of the super hero, will be titled “Spider-Man: Homecoming”.

Sony Pictures announced the film's title at CinemaCon here.

“I’m Tom Holland and I’m your new Spider-Man,” said Holland, who promised that the new film would find the superhero and his alter ego Peter Parker searching for his identity, reports variety.com.

“I hope it takes about three movies,” added Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” will focus on Parker’s struggles to balance his high school life with his vigilantism. Rothman described it as the conflict between “saving the world and getting your algebra homework done at the same time.”

Sony also unveiled the film’s new logo. It features a jaunty font, with the second “o” in homecoming replaced with an image of Spider-Man’s mask.

Before starring in “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, Holland will first be seen as Spider-Man in “Captain America: Civil War”.
