The Revenant star Tom Hardy is going to pay in ink for a wager he made with his co-star Leonardo DiCaprio regarding an ‘Oscar nomination’
Looks like The Revenant star Tom Hardy is going to pay in ink for a wager he made with his co-star Leonardo DiCaprio regarding an ‘Oscar nomination’ for the former’s work in the hit movie.
The 39-year-old actor revealed, in an interview with Esquire UK, that after losing the bet made last year, he would now have to get a tattoo in DiCaprio’s handwriting, reports Variety.
“I haven’t got it yet because it sucks,” Hardy told Esquire.
Earlier this year, DiCaprio bet that Hardy would receive an Oscar nomination for ‘The Revenant’ though Hardy was certain he would not. If DiCaprio’s prediction was correct, Hardy would have to get a tattoo of his choosing. However, if Hardy was right, his co-star would have to get inked. DiCaprio triumphed in the end.
“He wrote, in this really shitty handwriting, ‘Leo knows everything.’ Ha!” the ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ actor revealed, adding, “I was like, ‘OK, I’ll get it done, but you have to write it properly.’”
Among Hardy’s tattoos are of his wife’s name Charlotte, the London skyline, a Chinese dragon and religious figures, and of his agent Lindy King’s name, with he made a commitment saying he would get a tattoo if King ever got him into Hollywood.
