After entertaining Indian audience with “Piku”, Irrfan Khan has gone into his foreign mode with “Inferno”.
As the actor landed in Budapest to shoot for the international project, Hollywood star Tom Hanks welcomed him with a special request - he wants to shoot more scenes with the Indian actor.
The “Haider” actor landed in Budapest on Monday and will soon start shooting for "Inferno", read a statement.
In a more personalised gesture, Hanks jotted down a message for Irrfan the old school way -- on a postcard with a miniature imprint of Hanks' head with his signature.
The message read: “This will be most pleasant movie to make, I think, provided you and I have a few more scenes together! If not, we will just have to save the world as is!”.
The film adaptation of Dan Brown’s eponymous novel will be directed by Ron Howard, in which Hanks will play the lead character Robert Langdon.
In this latest instalment, Langdon finds himself in a hospital room in Venice as well as the target of a manhunt. With the help of Sienna, a nurse, and his knowledge of symbology, he will try to escape while they have to solve the most intricate riddle Langdon has ever faced.
Irrfan will portray Provost, the head of a shadowy group that becomes involved with Langdon, while Sy will play the leader of a disease prevention team.
"Inferno" will also feature Felicity Jones.
