Actor Tom Cruise is in talks to star in the long-delayed "Bob: The Musical" movie.
Written by Allan Loeb, it follows a story of a man who can suddenly hear the songs in everyone's heart after getting hit on the head, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“The Artist" director Michel Hazanavicius is roped in to helm "Bob: The Musical”.
The film has been in development since 2004. It once attracted Phil Lord and Chris Miller ("The Lego Movie", "22 Jump Street") and Adam Shankman ("Hairspray", "Rock of Ages"). Last year, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez ("Frozen (2013)") were linked to write the music and lyrics.
Cruise was last seen in "Edge of Tomorrow" and will next reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation". He will also star in "Mena", a thriller that reunites him with "Edge of Tomorrow" helmer Doug Liman.
