She has been taking the heat for her latest single 'Look What You Made Me Do,' but soon Taylor Swift might be able to shake it off with an Oscar nod!
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Universal Pictures, the distributor of 'Fifty Shades Darker,' is bracing for a full-fledged campaign to bring the 27-year-old singer and her three collaborators - Zayn Malik and writers Jack Antonoff and Sam Dew - a best original song Oscar nomination for one the film's tracks, 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever.'
While declining to get into specific plans, a studio spokesperson said that Universal is fully supportive of the song's campaign for awards of merit consideration.
For those unversed, ' I Don't Wanna Live Forever,' which was released ahead of the film on December 9, 2016, debuted at number one on the Digital Songs chart and grabbed the number two spot in the U.S. on Billboard's Hot 100, US Adult Top 40 and US Mainstream Top 40 lists.
Moreover, it was Swift's 20th song to crack the top 10 on the Hot 100 list, making her just the sixth female music artist ever to achieve that feat.
