Selena Gomez fires her parents as managers

Darpan News Desk IANS, 11 Apr, 2014 02:57 PM
  • Selena Gomez fires her parents as managers
Singer Selena Gomez has fired her mother Mandy Teefey and stepfather Brian Teefey from their duty as her managers.

The singer feels she's outgrown her parents and believes she's now old and famous enough to have a seasoned professional manager a la other A-list clients, reports tmz.com.

Gomez has permanently relieved her parents of all the duties related to the management of her career. Her parents had overseen thier daughter's career and managed things since her big break at Disney.

The "Come and get it" star has argued plenty with her parents over the direction of career and especially over dating singer Justin Bieber. But it is said this is not the only reason for the professional split.

Gomez remains close with both of her parents although they're not happy about her decision.
