'Pirates Of The Caribbean 5' Plot Unveiled

Darpan News Desk IANS, 18 Feb, 2015 01:15 PM
The synopsis for the highly anticipated fantasy film “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” will witness Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow having a hard time facing off a new character.

As the movie has started its production in Australia, Depp's eccentric character is all set for an adventure to find an important artifact, reports aceshowbiz.com.

“Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea...including him,” read the official plot.

“Captain Jack's only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas,” the synopsis reads further.

The fifth instalment in “Pirates of Caribbean” movie franchise will be co-directed by Espen Sandberg and Joachim Ronning with a script by Jeff Nathanson.

Actor Javier Bardem is confirmed to play the villain, Captain Salazar. The film will also star Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites and Golshifteh Farahani in pivotal roles.

“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” is expected to release in US July 7, 2017.
