Penelope Cruz's father passes away

IANS, 18 Jun, 2015 01:19 PM
Actress Penelope Cruz's father Eduardo Cruz passed away on Thursday morning, reports said.

He was 62. He suffered a fatal heart attack at the home he shared with his wife and young daughter in Spain. Medics were called around 2 a.m., but they could do nothing to save his life, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The father of four lived with his wife Carmen, whom he married in April 2014 after 12 years together, and their three-year-old daughter Salma.

The couple managed a hair and beauty salon together near their home in La Manga.

Apart from Penelope, Eduardo had Monica and Eduardo Jr., from his first marriage to Encarna Sanchez.

While Penelope has had a successful career in Hollywood, Monica is a television actress in Spain and Eduardo Jr. is a musician who dated "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria.
