Oprah Winfrey Reacts To Being Mistaken For Whoopi Goldberg

Darpan News Desk IANS, 29 Feb, 2016 12:22 PM
  • Oprah Winfrey Reacts To Being Mistaken For Whoopi Goldberg
Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has reacted to a goof-up by a beauty website that confused her with actress Whoopi Goldberg on the 2016 Oscars red carpet.

On Sunday night, the Total Beauty website posted on Twitter a photograph of Goldberg walking on the red carpet wearing a black dress, revealing her tattooed shoulder. The portal referred to the co-host of "The View" as Winfrey in the caption for the image, writing: "We had no idea Oprah was tattoed, and we love it."

The image was deleted after many pointed out the blunder, but Winfrey's friend Gayle King later posted on her Instagram a photograph of her and Winfrey sitting on a couch in a perplexed mood.

"We all love Whoopi Goldberg but we don't all look alike... Jeez," read the caption for the image.

Following the error, many fans took to Twitter to make fun of the mistake.

"How do you get Oprah and Whoopi Goldberg mixed up. What sad intern is getting fired tonight," one Twitter user wrote.

"How is someone getting paid to comment on a red carpet and they don't know the difference between Oprah and Whoopi!" another user posted.
