British band One Direction might be taking a two-year break when they go on hiatus in March next year.
Singer Liam Payne, who is part of the band alongside Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, spilled the news during an interview with a radio station on Thursday, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"Obviously we're all going to take a break for a bit first and then consider where we are in the world," Payne said.
“Then I just want to write songs. That's been the most fun process out of this, except for touring, the writing of the songs. We're going to come back, so there's something to write for as well, for us and for other people."
He said that the band hasn't "really had time to write an album".
"Writing's not really a job, it's so much fun. We've always had to rush it, so it's going to be nice for the next two years - I'm going to write a few songs and see what happens,” he added.
