Naomi Campbell Doesn't Like Being Labeled A Cougar

Darpan News Desk IANS, 29 Apr, 2015 12:46 PM
  • Naomi Campbell Doesn't Like Being Labeled A Cougar
Supermodel Naomi Campbell Naomi Campbell says she doesn't like being labeled a cougar, despite playing on in American television series “Empire”.

The 44-year-old plays fashion designer Camilla Marks in“"Empire" and her character's love interest Hakeem is 20 years her junior, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Campbell is adamant that it's "not natural" to her, as she doesn't date younger men in her actual personal life.

The model-turned-actress said: "(Camilla) is in her 40s, she likes young guys. I don't date younger men so it's not natural to me. Hakeem is younger than my brother. I don't like that word (cougar). It's not that big a deal, it's just a word. But I'm from London and it's not a word we associate with and say very often is it?"

While Campbell has always been supremely confident on the catwalk, she admitted that she felt "shy" while filming the steamy scenes with Bryshere Y. Gray - who plays Hakeem in the show.

"It is nerve racking to have people around you on your first day, on a pool table making out. But you have to do it, you have to get on with it, you have to get over it. I am shy at times in certain things and that was something I was shy about. But I did have fun," she told The Sun newspaper.
