Mindy Kaling to Star in Film Based on Late-Night Talk Show

    Actors Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson are set to star in an untitled movie revolving around a veteran late-night talk show host. Scott Rudin will produce with Howard Klein and Mindy, who has also written the story, reported Variety.
     
    The story follows a venerated late-night talk show host, played by Emma, who's in danger of losing her long-running show right when she hires her first female writer, played by Mindy.
     
    According to sources, the film can be described as The Devil Wears Prada meets Broadcast News.
