  • Melissa McCarthy to star in 'Life of the Party'
Actress Melissa McCarthy will star in her husband Ben Falcone's upcoming directorial venture “Life of the Party”.

Shooting for the film is expected to begin in August. Other than having a similarity in tone to the late Rodney Dangerfield's "Back to School", plot details are under wraps, reports variety.com.

McCarthy and Falcone have written the script and are producing “Life of the Party” through their On the Way production company.

She will next star in “Ghostbusters” with Kristen Wiig. Her previous credits include “Spy”, “Identity Thief”, “The Heat” and “Bridesmaids”, for which she received an Oscar nomination.
