Marriage On Ellen Page's Mind After SC's Same-Sex Ruling

Darpan News Desk IANS, 29 Jun, 2015 12:10 PM
  • Marriage On Ellen Page's Mind After SC's Same-Sex Ruling
Actress Ellen Page, who came out as same-sex person last year when she was 26 years old, says she would like to get married one day.

Page's comment came after a landmark ruling by the US Supreme Court which ruled same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states of America.

Asked whether she would consider getting married one day, Page said: "Yeah, I'd like that."

The actress added that she wishes she had come out with her sexual preference sooner, having gone public in February 2014, reports variety.com.

She explained: “I'm happier than I probably could imagine. Now it doesn't feel like I was ever not out. It's hard for me to imagine not existing in the way that I'm existing now."

"It boggles my mind that it seemed so difficult and so impossible. I wish I'd done it sooner, quite frankly. Some dark cloud has completely evaporated, thank goodness."

The “Juno” actress will next play a lesbian in the upcoming drama “Freeheld”, which will release on October 2.
