Popular Indo-Canadian online personality and comedienne Lilly Singh, also known as Superwoman, has won an award for the "Best First-Person Series", a media report said.
Beating four other online personalities, Singh won the "Streamy Awar" at the VH1's "5th Annual Streamy Awards" function that was held in Los Angeles on September 17, India-West online portal reported on Friday.
"Feeling so blessed and grateful for winning Best First Person Series at the #Streamys tonight ...," Singh Tweetd.
"I've got to thank Team Super, my fans -- you are the most loyal, dedicated, passionate, wonderful people. My friends, my family, my parents, who let me not be a doctor a" thank you," she was quoted as saying in an 11-second acceptance speech video.
The 26-year-old was also nominated for "Entertainer of the Year" award but lost to 21-year-old Cameron Dallas of Chino Hills, California.
On September 11, Singh entertained her fans at "YouTube FanFest Australia" by performing on her songs "LEH" and "IVIVI" to a full house at Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney.
After beginning her YouTube channel in October 2010, her videos have gathered over 730 million views and her channel has over six million subscribers.
