Lamar Odom Unaware Of What Caused His Brain Injury: Khloe Kardashian

Darpan News Desk IANS, 14 Nov, 2015 03:14 PM
Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian says her estranged husband and former basketball player Lamar Odom is unaware about what caused his brain injury and is “confused” about it.

Khloe opened up about Odom's current health situation in an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", where she also talked about her decision to put the brakes on their divorce, reports aceshowbiz.com

When host Ellen DeGeneres asked if Odom knows about what happened to him, Khloe replied: "Well, I can't tell him. We tell him that he had a brain injury, but we can't tell him how that brain injury was caused, because that will set him back."

"He never asks why he's here. He doesn't ask. He's really confused a lot - sometimes he knows who the president is and his birthday, and sometimes he thinks he's 26, and I say I bet you wish you were 26, so do I,” she said.

Khloe added that while the strokes Odom suffered affected some of his emotions as well as other parts of the brain, "he is able to smile and laugh at appropriate times."

When asked about her decision to put the brakes on divorce, Khloe said: "I'm there helping him and I love him and I've always loved him. And that will never change. And I just feel like it's a really insensitive thing to fast-forward a divorce."

"I love him and I always will, and he's a fantastic person who deserves support and love and for someone to be by his side, and for me, I'm that to him. And thank god I have a fantastic family who loves me and loves him just as much. And they're so supportive and they're with me and I have a great boyfriend who's understanding," she added.
