Lady Gaga will sing the American national anthem at Super Bowl 50 on Sunday in Santa Clara, California, the National Football League (NFL) has announced.
 
The Grammy-winning singer and "American Horror Story: Hotel" star will be accompanied by Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin while she performs the anthem in American Sign Language (ASL), reports ew.com.
 
Gaga follows "Frozen" star Idina Menzel, who sang at last year’s Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.
 
As for the other marquee musical moments, the halftime show will feature Coldplay and several other rumoured guest artistes.
