Singer Lady Gaga and her boyfriend Taylor Kinney braved the weather and took a chilly dip in the icy cold waters at North Avenue Beach here to raise money for the Special Olympics.

They participated in the annual fundraiser event Chicago Polar Plunge on Sunday, reports aceshowbiz.com.

The "Born this way" hitmaker uploaded some photographs on her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

"We had such a good time! Though I can tell Taylor's shorts were freezing in this pic," Gaga wrote alongside a photograph.

The 29-year-old also shared an image of herself embraced by Kinney.

"We love the city of Chicago and the Polar Plunge for The Special Olympics. These men and women are brave and powerful. Me and Taylor love getting cold in your honor every year," she wrote.

This is the second time in a row that the duo has participated in the event.
