TV personality Kylie Jenner, who reportedly underwent lip surgery, has spoken against an online viral trend by the name 'Kylie Jenner Challenge'.
After several teenagers tried the challenge and shared their post-challenge photographs on micro-blogging website Twitter, Kylie responded by making statements via Twitter on Tuesday, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"I'm not here to try & encourage people/young girls to look like me or to think this is the way they should look," the "Keeping Up with the Kardashian" star wrote.
The 17-year-old, who did not start the challenge, added: "I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment w your look."
The "Kylie Jenner Challenge" offered various ways to make puffy lips just like Kylie's lips.
The challenge suggested that someone puts a glass or a plastic cup on lips and then sucks the glass for about five minutes. Instead of getting sexy-look lips, many of teenagers, who had tried the challenge, reported that they suffered serious injury.
The method suggested that trying the pouty look is even harmful.
Doctors have warned participants that they may cause permanent damage.
"I can definitely say that this would be dangerous even just to try it, and especially somebody who does it more than once. The lips turn blue because blood fills up and they could easily become infected and lose all sensation. It is a really dangerous stunt and I'd advise strongly against anybody trying it," so said a cosmetic surgeon, Pordiis Kjartansdottir.
Meanwhile, Jenner's current beau Tyga's ex Blac Chyna took to image-sharing website Instagram to mock the "Kylie Jenner Challenge".
She posted a photograph which captures her wearing a wig similar to Kylie's hair style and posing as if she's taking a selfie.
Chyna also wore big fake lips which she called "Wack-O-Wax". She revealed that the fake lips would be available in her online shopping line and she would sell it for $50 a pop.
