Kesha breaks silence following court ruling

Darpan News Desk IANS, 21 Feb, 2016 01:10 PM
  • Kesha breaks silence following court ruling
Singer Kesha has thanked her supporters for their kind words after she was told she can't break her contract with producer Dr. Luke.

The "Tik tok" hitmaker is engaged in a legal battle with producer Dr. Luke - who is suing her for defamation as she claims he abused her - and she was devastated after her request to have a temporary break from Sony Records so she could continue making music without the producer was denied.

Her fans and fellow stars have been tweeting messages of support, and Kesha took to Twitter this weekend to thank everyone as she shared an image baring the words 'Hope is the only thing stronger than fear', reports mirror.co.uk.

She captioned it: "Thank you for all the support in my legal case animals. I love all of you. It's meant the world to me. xoxo"

Following the decision that her exclusive contract will not be broken - effectively meaning she has to work with him if she wants to release music with the company - many stars have spoken out to give her their public backing.

Lady Gaga tweeted: "There are people all over the world who love you @KeshaRose. And I can say truly I am in awe of your bravery."

Ariana Grande added: "My heart is with @KeshaRose."

Lorde added that she was standing by Kesha "through this traumatic, deeply unfair time" while Lily Allen echoed the sentiment.
