Darpan News Desk IANS, 01 Dec, 2015 12:50 PM
Actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who is also a fitness freak, says the fitness trend is really catching up in India and wishes luck to all the children participating in the Mumbai Juniorthon this week.

Mumbai Juniorthon, a marathon for children, which encourages them to get involved in physical activities rather than spending time on gadgets.

It will be held at the Bandra-Kurla Complex here on December 6.

"A lot of people are doing their part to encourage and motivate kids to get out, play sports and be healthy and fit. We have, in a way, lost it with regards to physical activity because of certain technology. But the fitness movement is really catching up in India especially in various cities," Jacqueline said.

"I try to hopefully inspire people as much as I can when it comes to eating right and healthy living. I know that we do have a large influence on teenagers and youth, so it's important for celebrities to be a good example," she added.

Previously, actor Vivek Oberoi extended his support to the initiative and teenage celebrities Darsheel Safary and Avneet Kaur said that they were excited to be part of the event.
