Hilary Duff's Ex-husband Accused Of Rape

Darpan News Desk, 16 Feb, 2017 12:02 PM
Hollywood star Hilary Duff's former husband Mike Comrie is under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department for reportedly raping a woman, a media report said.

The woman has accused the 36-year-old former hockey player of raping her at his home here, but he claims it was consensual, tmz.com reported on Wednesday.

"There is an open investigation of sexual assault involving Comrie," Los Angeles Police Department Officer Liliana Preciado confirmed.

Comrie reportedly met with the woman on Saturday at a bar here. They later went to his condo in West Hollywood and she claimed that she was sexually assaulted multiple times.

After the reported incident, the woman went to a medical centre to get a rape kit done. Comrie hasn't released an official statement yet but according to police reports, he denied the accusation.

The report said that the act involved three people -- a second woman who has not filed a complaint.
