  • 'Frozen' Getting A Sequel
Animated film "Frozen" will get a sequel, says Disney.

Disney announced Thursday that they are making a "Frozen" sequel.

The announcement was made at a Disney meeting, where the company's chief Bob Iger showed attendees the new "Frozen Fever" short film and confirmed that the hit's co-directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck will both be involved in "Frozen 2", reports people.com.

"We enjoyed making 'Frozen Fever' so much and being back in that world with those characters," said John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios.

"Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we're taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that."

The animated film, featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff, was released in 2013 and raked in more than $1.2 billion worldwide.
