Rapper Kanye West, who wants the crowd to be on their feet when he performs, reportedly stopped his performance when two fans didn't stand up.
During his performance at a concert here, he halted the show because two fans weren't standing up. One of the fans was in a wheelchair, and one had a prosthetic limb, but West didn't appear to believe them, reports billboard.com.
West stopped the concert and asked everyone in attendance to stand for the next song "unless you got a handicap pass where you get special parking and s---," he told the crowd.
He boasted about being able to spot anyone in the audience who wasn't standing, which is when he noticed the two fans who were still seated. West waited for them to stand and even asked the crowd whether the two people should be forced to move seats. Members of the crowd started chanting for them to stand.
The rapper even sent over a member of his security team to assess the situation. "This is the longest I've had to wait to do the song -- it's unbelievable," West said.
Finally, after repeated questioning from the rapper, he was satisfied with the fans' reason for not standing. "You say it's cool, it's a wheelchair?" West asked one more time before finally performing on his song.
