Actress Eva Mendes celebrated her 42nd birthday with boyfriend and actor Ryan Goslings at late singer Frank Sinatra's luxury vacation home.

The couple, along with their one-year-old daughter Esmeralda, rented Sinatra's infamous Palm Springs, Californian vacation home for four days, celebrating Mendes's birthday which falls on March 5, reports etonline.com.

The four bedroom, seven bathroom house is 4,500 square feet in size and was built in 1947 for Sinatra and his wife, Nancy Barbato.

According to reports, one of the house's sinks still has a chip on it that was rumoured to have been created when Sinatra slammed a champagne bottle during an argument with singer Ava Gardner.

The rental comes complete with a recording studio, pool house and Sinatra's memorabilia for $2,600 a night.
