After her much-talked about engagement in Dubai, "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria has come straight down to India with her fiance Jose Antonio Baston! She isn't here on an acting assignment, but for a cause.
The couple met a group of under-privileged children who are a part of an NGO here on Tuesday.
Longoria, an active philanthropist, announced her arrival here, via Twitter. She even posted images from her visit to Harmony House, an NGO which takes care of the basic needs of under-privileged children, and wrote: "Thank you Harmony House for letting us visit! You're doing amazing things."
The image features the 40-year-old actress looking cosy in a shirt and a black jacket, with a group of children who are seen holding a poster that reads: "Welcome Eva & Pepe".
Pepe is the nickname of Baston, who is a television professional.
Longoria received a traditional Indian welcome as she sported a garland and vermillion mark on her forehead. With another image, she tweeted: "The Welcome greeting in India! #HarmonyHouse #ThankYou."
Her excitement didn't just end there. She was glad to watch the children's enthusiasm in learning new skills.
"Yoga dance by the young boys at #HarmonyHouse #Talent," Longoria, whose The Eva Longoria Foundation helps Latinas with education and career training.
