China makes over-the-top films: Sonu Sood

  • China makes over-the-top films: Sonu Sood
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who features in "Xuanzang" -- China's official pick for the 89th Academy Awards -- says over-the-top films are made in China.

"China usually makes very huge, over-the-top films, and when only your film out of those goes to the Oscars, you feel really proud," Sonu said here.

"Xuanzang" marked the "Happy New Year" star's debut in Mandarin. Sonu says his "language and dialect" in the film was worked upon minutely.

"I remember how my language, my dress, my dialect was worked upon very minutely. Now I realise why they worked so hard on it, and then on top of it, when it was for the Oscars, I couldn't have asked for more," said Sonu, who is all set to share screen space with legendary actor Jackie Chan "Kung Fu Yoga".
