Celine Dion Won't Sing At Husband's Funeral

Darpan News Desk IANS, 19 Jan, 2016 01:12 PM
Celine Dion, who is grappling with personal loss after losing her husband and brother within a couple of days, has denied reports that she will sing at the funeral of her husband Rene Angelil, the singer's representatives have said.

After reports surfaced that Celine will perform at Angelil's funeral, her team squashed them away saying that the thought has never crossed the singer's mind, reports tmz.com.

But there is a possibility that some of her songs might be played in the background.

The 73-year-old music manager's memorial will take place on Friday here at the Notre-Dame Basilica, where he and Celine got married 21 years ago.

The funeral will be televised on three networks and flags will fly at half-mast.

Angelil passed away on January 14 at his home in Las Vegas after a long battle with throat cancer, on the eve of his 74th birthday.

Celine's brother Daniel died two days later after a battle with cancer. He was 59.
