Singer Britney Spears is getting her own video game and has signed an eight-year partnership with a game developer.
The "Toxic" hitmaker has inked an eight-year mobile gaming partnership with Glu Mobile, the San Francisco-based developer behind the game "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood", reports aceshowbiz.com.
Glu Mobile's CEO Niccolo de Masi said: "We've signed an exclusive mobile gaming partnership with (Britney) Spears for up to eight years. The singer is an iconic Grammy Award winning talent with nearly 90 million total social followers and a highly successful Las Vegas show.
"She has sold over a 100 million singles, 100 million albums, won six MTV Video Music Awards, and nine Billboard Music Awards. People like Britney Spears obviously have been successful for more than a decade. They have brand recognition and social following everywhere: not just developed nations but also emerging markets."
The idea is to "try and bring new people into gaming that have never played a game before".
The game, which features "the voice, likeness, and creative influence of Spears" will launch in the first half of 2016. Other celebrities like Katy Perry, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner will have their own games later this year.
