Blow Us: Carrie Fisher To Body Shamers

Darpan News Desk IANS, 30 Dec, 2015 12:51 PM
Actress Carrie Fisher has responded to those criticising her appearance in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".

"Please stop debating about whether or not I aged well," she tweeted.

"Unfortunately it hurts all three of my feelings. My body hasn’t aged as well as I have. Blow us.”

She went on to emphasise that there is more to her than flesh and bone, reports variety.com.

“My body is my brain bag, it hauls me around to those places and in front of faces where there’s something to say or see,” Fisher tweeted along with a photograph of her canine Gary Fisher.

She also retweeted one of her followers who said: “Men don’t age better than women, they’re just allowed to age.”

Earlier in her press tour for “Force Awakens", in which she plays General Leia Organa, she shared that she was pressured to lose more than 35 pounds for the new film.
