Anil Kapoor, Lionsgate To Co-produce Indian Adaptation Of 'RED'

Indian actor Anil Kapoor and global entertainment company Lionsgate will co-produce the Indian adaptation of the hit Hollywood action-comedy movie "RED".
 
"After successfully adapting '24' season one and season two we are looking forward to remaking 'RED' for the Indian audience," Anil said in a statement.
 
"RED", inspired by Lionsgate's successful 2010 North American release of the same name boasted an ensemble cast including Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Karl Urban and Marie-Louise Parker. 
 
This will be the first film jointly produced by the two companies, and Lionsgate's second film in India. AKFC Network and Lionsgate are currently finalising the cast for the film which is currently scheduled to go into production in August 2016.
 
"We hope this is the beginning of a long term relationship with Lionsgate. Lot more to come," Udayan Bhat, COO of AKFC Network said.
