Amanda Bynes released from psychiatric facility

Darpan News Desk IANS, 01 Nov, 2014 09:16 AM
  • Amanda Bynes released from psychiatric facility
Troubled actress Amanda Bynes has been released from a psychiatric facility here.

Three days after a judge ruled that she needed to spend at least another month in the facility, Bynes asked to be released Thursday and was set free, reports tmz.com.

The troubled actress, 28, was seen roaming the Sunset Strip Thursday night wearing a dark coat and large sunglasses. She had dinner at a diner on Sunset Boulevard and was looking for a hotel where she could spend the night.

Bynes was released following a mandatory hearing at the psychiatric facility in which she was allowed to contest her involuntary treatment.

Such hearings must be held within four days after a patient is placed on a 30-day involuntary psychiatric hold, which was ordered for Bynes Monday. A hearing officer reportedly deemed Bynes to be stable enough that she couldn't be held involuntarily.

Bynes first entered a facility Oct 10. Her hold was then extended for two weeks Oct 13.
