  • Amanda Bynes avoids media on outing
Troubled actress Amanda Bynes, who was recently released from a psychiatric facility here, was spotted at an eatery and she was clearly avoiding the media.

Bynes is said to have been eating watermelon on her third visit to Mel's Diner.

According to a source, the 28-year-old star avoided media on her visit to the diner in West Hollywood Saturday afternoon, reports eonline.com.

"She was very quiet and timid, she was trying to avoid being photographed," the source said.

During her visit that lasted a couple of hours, Bynes was joined by a male friend as they stayed at their designated table.

"She wasn't doing anything too distracting to the other customers, she only ate watermelon," the source added.
