After its release in the US, veteran Hollywood actor Al Pacino-starrer “Danny Collins”, which features him in the role of a 1970s rocker, is hitting Indian screens on May 8.
 
"Danny Collins" is being released in India by PVR Director's Rare, and features stars like Jennifer Garner, Christopher Plummer and Annette Bening, said a statement.
 
The movie is inspired by a true event and tells the story of a washed up ageing rock musician played by Pacino, who changes the course of his life after discovering a 40-year-old undelivered letter written to him by singer John Lennon.
 
Dan Fogelman, who has made his directorial debut with the film "Danny Collins", is known for writing screenplays of hits such as “Cars”, “Tangled” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love”.
