Why Do Remo D'souza's Films Have Ganpati Song?

IANS, 09 Jun, 2015 11:10 AM
  • Why Do Remo D'souza's Films Have Ganpati Song?
Remo D'Souza's last film "ABCD" has a special song where dancers wore lord Ganesha's mask while performing a number, and in "ABCD 2" too, he has included a track dedicated to the god. The director says he diligently pays obeisance to the 'vighnaharta'.

When D'Souza was asked about the importance of lord Ganesha in his life, he said: "My film is incomplete without Bappa. I'm a huge devotee of Ganpati. I bring Ganpati home every year since the last 15 years, and that is the reason, all my films have a special song sequence on Ganpati."

However, the choreographer-director maintained the suspense element regarding the Ganpati number this time.

"There is Ganpati song this time. The style and timing in which it appears in the film is very interesting and that is for you guys to experience when you watch the film," said D'Souza, who is otherwise a Christian by religion.
